Turkey loaf with Brie and Apple

Meat loaf can be sooooo boring.. it’s hard to resist messing with this classically dull dish. With some apple and cheese, this mild, gooey loaf is so satisfying it’ll please even the pickiest pallet (although you  may not want to mention that there are apples in it until after they’ve cleaned their plate).

Here’s my turning ground twist on a classic: Turkey Loaf with Brie and Apple

This makes enough to feed four. Preheat oven to 325F. In a big bowl combine:

1 lb ground turkey

2 eggs (free range is best)

1 peeled and shredded apple

1 small round of brie cheese, chopped into cubes

1 1/2 c. bread crumbs

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp poultry seasoning

Mix well and bake at 325F for 1 hour.

This meal is great with quinoa, green peas and sweet potato fries. The kids licked their plates clean!
