Last month the little ‘uns and I left spider city, (a.k.a. the cottage at the lake) and drove 1200 km west to Calgary, Alberta. We didn’t know it at the time be one of the millions of arachnids that reside at our personal paradise (paradise being highly subjective) made herself at home in our passenger side mirror and came along for the ride.
She now delights us to no end with her enthusiastic and unrelenting skill. Every morning we are thrilled to discover that she has woven a new beautiful, perfect web extending from the mirror to the door in perfect symmetry. Her web is too fragile to survive a commute which makes necessary drives a bit sad. But our little spider is resilient, she is! She just keeps spinning and amazing us anew. What a delightful companion!
