Pumpkin pie nearly everyone’s fall favorites and here in the Northern climes things are no different. We may have to cultivate faster growing varieties of pumpkin and harvest them earlier but the end result is the same…delicious pumpkin pies!
This year I had a little extra dough left over so the girls and I made pielettes in ramekins and everyone got their own little pie, topped with fresh whipped cream. I followed the tried and true Turning Ground recipes and everyone agreed they tasted great. It was a long process, doing everything from scratch but the taste was proof enough that if you do things the hard way- it’s usually for the best.
